Matthew Swift is a Financial Advisor with Eagle Strategies, LLC dedicated to helping individuals, families, and business owners build confidence in their financial future through comprehensive, holistic financial planning. Since entering the financial services industry in 2023, Matthew has focused on educating clients and developing personalized strategies that protect what matters most while creating a strategy designed to support their long-term financial goals.
Matthew believes that every sound financial plan begins with protecting a client's greatest asset—their ability to earn an income. By helping clients implement income protection strategies through life and disability insurance, he helps establish a foundation for long-term financial success. From there, he works alongside clients to develop tax-efficient wealth accumulation strategies using taxable, tax-deferred, and tax-free accounts, while preparing them for a smooth transition into retirement.
One of Matthew's primary areas of specialization is retirement income planning. He helps clients create sustainable, tax-efficient distribution strategies designed to provide reliable retirement income while preserving wealth throughout retirement and facilitating an efficient transfer of assets to future generations. He also collaborates with clients' attorneys and tax professionals when appropriate to integrate estate planning strategies into their overall financial plan.
Matthew's passion for financial planning is rooted in personal experience. Early in his career, he participated in an employer-sponsored retirement plan but received little guidance on selecting appropriate investments. Likewise, although he knew life insurance was important, he was never educated on the differences between term and permanent life insurance. Those experiences showed him how valuable trusted financial guidance can be and inspired his commitment to ensuring clients receive the education and personalized advice he wished he had.
What Matthew enjoys most about his role is empowering clients through education. He believes informed clients make better financial decisions, and he takes pride in helping them understand financial concepts, implement strategies that align with their goals, and adapt those strategies as life changes over time.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has also earned several advanced professional designations, including Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP®), Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP®), and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), demonstrating his commitment to continuing education and delivering knowledgeable financial guidance.
A resident of Jones, Oklahoma, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife, Season, and their three children, Sophie, Sammie, and Bonnie. Outside the office, he enjoys gardening, home improvement projects, hunting, watching sports, and swimming.
